You Rule: Political Arena

I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts. Abraham Lincoln

The Bill of Rights:

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. The U.S. National Achieves and Records Administration

Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself. Harvey Fierstein

Democracy & Liberty
verses Capitalism

The most important political office is that of the private citizen. Louis D. Brandeis

Today we live with a Capitalist system that places money first, and people second which is in violation of our Democracy for within a liberated democratic nation, People comes first. We are a nation that is great, because we are great. Americans are one of the few hardest working (collectively) people in the world, not because we are free, but because we operate together as a productive, work or labor orientated nation.

Poor nations lack proper management and a socialist work effort towards a combined goal for betterment such as a deep pool of its citizens working or employed within various areas of such country in occupations progressing society. Rather the occupations of an individual is to pick up trash or to make phone calls or creating businesses, everyone plays a role in creating their country, their states or region better. Each and everyone worldwide is valuable, but a capitalist system asks, "how much are you worth?" Where as democracy which recognizes that all men (human beings) possess innate (natural) worth and liberties. Therefore, although we, Americans live with the idea of chasing after money to live in this capitalistic setting that we live in, we are actually collectively placing our minds, body and souls into bettering our nation as well as ourselves. We are living as a socialistic body of people, with a flawed idea system that makes the process ugly and places us as weak subjects than the powerful productive forces that we are.

Capitalism is in conflict with democracy. It is an oppressor, a domineering, a tyrant system that is based on a monetary product and lacks deep vital principles that are humanistic for it treats everything as a product, an item; the dollar does not possess a soul, therefore should be replaced this way of thinking and setting our lifestyles with a humanistic system that identifies and reveals truly how we are and how we truly live as a socialist nation, a collective labor oriented nation, socialism.

As I would not be a slave, so I would not be a master. This expresses my idea of democracy. Abraham Lincoln

Who is best qualified to represent me and you?

We live in ignorant times. We have intelligent men and women that we elect to represent us in our democratic representative form of democracy. Are they the few most virtuous (moral)? The few most educated (knowledgeable)? The few most capable (skillful) representing us well?

A comedy film starring Chris Rock, Head of State, has so much truths in it about how exactly our political system is set up and it also showed a different approach that we can choose if we so much desired. It provided an elected official that represented the working class as a working class person without the regular rich lifestyle and educational or occupational backgrounds. I am not promoting for less intellectual men or women to represent us in our governments, I am promoting for one that is understanding, who can relate to the sufferings and lives of the mass (greatest number of people within any level) in order to whole heartedly know how to vote on or formulate a bill or laws fairly on issues where it matters most. Truths are anywhere and everywhere to be found, even where we may not think it to exist:

Chris Rock, Movie: head of State (2003)

How we are being represented today?

The democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work and then they get elected and prove it. P.J.O'Rourke

What it means to be represented, and represented well:representation means that someone or something is selected to do or to speak for someone or something else in that thing or persons' place or role. If I want to ask someone to pick up a prescription medicine for myself, that person that agrees would go to the pharmacy to pick up what I would have picked for myself, if I were to have gone. He or she does not pick up whatever medicine that he or she may think or sees on the shelves to be an okay product to obtain for me. This person must act in my place, and must do for me as I had asked or voiced that I wanted.

Plus, a good representative would seek to inform and to educate on any changes that he or she might have decided to do other than what was asked. Representing people requires getting to know what the ones being represented wants, good representatives must seek to ask rather than to tell or to simply go by what their own feelings regarding a matter as being best to make great decisions for others. People who understand that they possess representatives that acts in their
behalf in this representative form of government, knows that there is a place for them and an active role that they must act upon in making sure that representatives in their cities, states, and nation listens to them and acts in according to what they (the people) needs or wants. We, the people, should not wait to hear or to follow politicians, it is the job of these elected men and women (politicians) to follow up with us, their constituents ( voters).

I know of no safe repository [storage]of the ultimate power of society but people. And if we think them not enlightened [intelligent] enough, the remedy is not to take power from them, but to inform them [through] education.- Thomas Jefferson

We have an ignorant and passive society, a knowledge that is far and widely known. Based on the level of people who participate in our political arena, it is safe to claim that we are not dealt with effectively. Many politicians knows that the top-down idea of major corporations (wealthy business men and women) helping the bottom working class does not work. Most people are not wealthy or rich corporate business owners or inherited wealth persons. Most people are workers and have lives that is based on " the clock" where time is deeply restricted. Therefore, focus is to be sent to empower everyone, mostly the working class who is by far too restricted with time to be active in the political arena where they do have a legal documented part to play on how they wish to structure their lives far more than being passive (non-active) members. People need to become active in the political establishments as they have such a role to play in the decision makings on how their tax dollars to their government to be spent:

Washington Post:      http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/special/politics/budget-2010/

Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves. Ronald Reagan

From Ignorance to Knowledgeable & to Powerful

When we educate ourselves well enough, or be well educated enough: we come to know that we possess a political system that does not only tell us that we are free, and powerful. It sets rules and regulations for us to rule. Our education system has been taken over by capitalists that wants to keep us ignorant and powerless. We, the people, are the first and the last decision makers.

Our
President represents us all in our nation, our government system, and the international community as our representative and as our ultimate leader.

O
ur legislators which are our Representatives & Senators represents how we direct our nation through problem solving, regulations by making laws to maintain or manage how we conduct [behave or operate] in our nation.

O
ur Judicial system possesses Justices or Judges which maintains the laws of the nation by making sure than no one breaks them or cause harm to another so that we can maintain to live safely, and morally with each other.

All of these employees of our government [management] establishment does not have full power to do as they please without our consent
.
Capitalism has placed us in an inhumane oppressive [ domineering ] lifestyle (lives by the clock) where we are too busy, and too tired to act or too active in its irrational culture that sustain us as ignorant persons more than it liberate us to be powerful and active individuals. Liberty is in our hands, we must strive to educate ourselves of the truths, and powers that we possess to live better lives. We must act to become liberated beings and to live liberating lives far more than our culture defines or celebrates "liberty" freedom.

Our President:

One aspect that is deeply active in our culture is to look unto any President that is in office for answers when we possess a political system that is not shaped to place only such person capable of acting alone. Our President is not the only person to turn to, nor is he legally assigned to be. He does not have all of the powers we allow ourselves to believe that he does. Congress or Legislators (representative: senators and representatives)  makes the policies (the laws) and these men and women live within our state and district areas as our neighbors.  They are elected by us to represent us in our state and in our National governments. Our President is the leader that makes sure that everything is running well, but he cannot control all that  senators and Representatives decides to do or which policies they formulate. There is a total of 435 Representatives and 100 Senators in our federal or national government. Our President is only one person and it is not his primary job to make laws for that occupation is for these Representative and Senators to do such things.

Checks and Balances. Check Please!

Our President can  propose (make considerations) of a few policies which he does and makes us aware through his "State of the Union Address" televised announcements or speech. When our President makes these speeches, it is not only addressed to us what he proposes, but to his fellow political employees the Representative and the Senators (the policy makers) to agree and to vote upon rather they will allow such proposed bills or laws to become legal and acceptable laws. Due to the organization of our political system, neither our president nor our Representative and Senators are able to do a great deal on their own. They must seek the approval of each other and from us in order for laws or regulations to be placed into our daily lives and which we live by. Anyone who watches CNN, BBC, or FOX news has experiences of trying to understand the political fight or struggle "du jour" of the day.

Our President has the power to veto (dismiss) any "bills" or proposed laws or regulations before they become legal laws. Moreover, our Representative and Senators can over-ride his veto (dismissal ) of proposed laws or regulations from the President by a 2/3 rd of a vote, such as 60 out of our 100 Senators’ votes for or against any policy, any law.

The people's government made for the people, made by the people, and answerable to the people. Daniel Webster

To be active in our political arenas, we must know WHO these men and women are who are representing us and HOW our government and its employees operates from within and WHAT our roles are. We must be EDUCATED, and We must remember that we have a "Representative" form of  government and not a totalitarian or dictatorship. These men and women elected into office are not suppose to do "all"  that they feel needs to be done for us, we also must go to work and "voice" our needs.
In our current generation, we have our political system and its employees much within our grasp. We can find information and contact them through the internet, mailings, meetings, or even through our telephone systems. Plus, we can even find them in our social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace. Most politicians seems to love to communicate, and they make their thoughts and ideas every public for anyone to check out what they plan or feel that they can do if they were in a particular position or office and even while they are in office.

This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it. Abraham Lincoln

We (the people) possess the power to reshape our governments as a written law in our constitution which is the highest laws to be respected in our entire nation. It does not matter much rather we have a democratic, a republican, a socialist, a tea or any other political party because if we are as active as we have the right to be, our elected officials and government respond to us as well as us to them. Therefore, we all rule. As it is, President Obama could have been taken out of office if he were to have been found to be a non-US citizen for only natives can become President as the current law states and why a deep battle was made about finding Obamas' birth certification.

Our political leaders and officials are bounded by the constitution( the highest supreme laws of the United States) where we have been given the ability to dismiss any politician out of office if they are not working for us.
If they are being neglectful and do not fulfill their duties to us as representatives of us for we can seek better.

Also, our elected officials can claim to dismiss and seek better representatives for us and for the betterment of this country if they know that such a fellow representative is not acting in our best interest.Learn about your rights. A neglected nation does not produce practices that are towards those neglecting it. Check out your state government "Constitution" that states the laws we all must live by. It will state what the government role is toward you. It will also state your rights or the parts that are your responsibilities. It will state also, how you and/or elected officials can dismiss neglectful or incompetent politicians:

All officers elected or appointed under this constitution, may... be removed from office for official misconduct, incompetence, neglect of duty, or gross immorality, in such manner as may be prescribed by general laws-West Virginia State constitution:

Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves and the only way they could do this is by not voting. Franklin D. Roosevelt

To Every One

Democracy allows people to be free, liberated beings. It is un-American, undemocratic , and it is a non-human aspect to not ask question and to not demand for a response. If you want liberty and if you want to be able to be seen as a somebody, you must first consider yourselves worthy not because you have “earned” it, but because you naturally (innately) are. This is Sean Penn (actor) as Joe Wilson presents to us:

The responsibility of a country is not in the hands of a privileged few! We are strong, and we are free from tyranny as long as each one of us remembers his or her duty as a citizen. Whether it's to report a pothole at the top of your street or lies in a State of the Union address. Speak out! Ask those questions! Demand that truth! Democracy is not a free ride, man. I'm here to tell you. But, this is where we live. And if we do our job, this is where our children will live. God Bless America.
